Cookies Notice

1. Purpose

This Cookie Notice explains how iDrive2 uses cookies, local storage objects, session technologies and similar technical identifiers in connection with the iDrive2 public landing page, Advertiser Portal, Admin Portal, and other browser-based Platform environments operated by iDrive2. It also provides limited information about comparable application-layer technologies used within the native iDrive2 mobile application.

This Notice is intended to explain:

What cookies and similar technologies are;
Which categories of cookies or similar technologies iDrive2 may use;
The purposes for which such technologies are used;
Which technologies are strictly necessary and which are optional;
How users may manage or withdraw consent for non-essential technologies; and
How cookie-related data is handled in conjunction with the Privacy Notice and applicable law. This Notice applies to browser-based access to:

• The iDrive2 public landing page;

• The Advertiser Portal;

• The Admin Portal; and

• Any other browser-based Platform environment subsequently introduced and operated by iDrive2.

The native mobile application primarily uses secure authentication tokens, app permissions, device identifiers, and similar application-layer technologies rather than conventional browser cookies. Mobile-app data practices remain governed by the Privacy Notice and any relevant in-app permissions framework.

This Cookie Notice should be read together with the iDrive2 Privacy Notice and, where relevant, the applicable Learner Terms & Conditions, Instructor Terms & Conditions, Acceptable Use Policy and Advertising Disclosure Policy.

iDrive2 also maintains internal data-retention, information-security and incident-response controls supporting the lawful handling, retention and protection of data generated through cookies and similar technologies.

Nothing in this Notice expands the role of iDrive2 beyond that of a digital marketplace platform.

2. What Are Cookies And Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on a browser-enabled device when a user accesses certain web pages or services. Similar technologies may include software development kits (“SDKs”), local storage, pixels, session tokens, or other browser- or application-based identifiers used for authentication, preferences, security, diagnostics, or analytics.

Such technologies may be used to:

Maintain secure login sessions;
Remember user settings or language choices;
Support system integrity and fraud prevention;
Improve site reliability and technical performance;
Assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting; and
Measure basic usage or performance where lawful and enabled. Cookies and similar technologies do not by themselves grant system access, override authentication requirements, or independently execute Platform actions.

3. Platform Cookie Principle

iDrive2 uses cookies and similar technologies only to the extent that is reasonably necessary for lawful platform operation, security, performance, consent-based analytics, user preferences, and related technical administration.

As of the Effective Date, iDrive2 does not:

Operate third-party advertising exchanges;
Use real-time bidding systems;
Use programmatic advertising cookies;
Participate in cross-site behavioural advertising networks;
Use cross-platform tracking for unrelated advertising purposes; or
Sell or share cookie-derived data for unrelated commercial exploitation. Cookie and similar-technology use is currently limited to functional, security, consent-management, preference, and consent-based performance or analytics purposes.

These statements describe iDrive2's current deployed practices as of the Effective Date and must be reviewed whenever new analytics, advertising, embedded-content, monitoring, or third-party technologies are introduced.

4. Categories Of Cookies And Similar Technologies

5. Strictly Necessary Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are essential to certain landing-page or portal functionality and may be deployed automatically where required for lawful operation of the Platform.

These may be used for:

Authentication;
Secure session continuity;
CSRF protection;
Load balancing;
Security enforcement;
Login state preservation;
Fraud prevention;
Access-control integrity; and
Prevention of unauthorized access. Without these cookies or similar technical controls, relevant parts of the landing page or portals may not function properly.

Strictly necessary cookies and equivalent technologies may be deployed without optional cookie consent where they are genuinely required to provide requested functionality, maintain authentication, protect account security or preserve the integrity of the Platform, subject to applicable law.

6. Security Cookies And Security Session Controls

Certain cookies or similar technologies are used specifically for security and may be classified as strictly necessary where required to preserve platform integrity.

These may be used to:

Detect suspicious login attempts;
Rate-limit authentication requests;
Manage secure session timeout;
Identify abusive or unusual session behavior;
Support account-protection controls; and
Reduce brute-force, credential-stuffing, or similar attack risk. Security-related session controls may not be disabled where doing so would materially impair secure platform operation.

7. Performance And Analytics Cookies

Where implemented and lawfully enabled, iDrive2 may use performance or analytics cookies to understand technical performance and general platform usage.

These may collect information such as:

Page visit counts;
Session duration;
Page or screen interaction events;
Feature usage data;
Error rates;
Performance metrics;
Browser or device environment signals; and
Referral or navigation paths within the Platform. Where used, analytics data is intended to be aggregated or pseudonymised where reasonably applicable and is not used by iDrive2 for cross-site behavioral profiling or unrelated advertising targeting.

Where performance or analytics technologies are non-essential and rely on user consent, they will not be activated unless and until the required consent has been obtained. If the user rejects or subsequently withdraws consent, those technologies will not be deployed or will cease operating, except where a particular technology is genuinely necessary for Platform security or core functionality and may lawfully operate without consent.

8. Preference Cookies

Where implemented and enabled, preference cookies may be used to remember user settings that improve usability but are not essential to core platform operation.

These may include:

Language preference;
Interface display preference;
Consent banner preference state;
Non-security user interface settings; and
Similar convenience-based configuration choices. Preference cookies are optional where they are not strictly necessary.

Where a preference technology is non-essential and requires consent under applicable law, it will be activated only after the required consent has been obtained.

9. Mobile Application Technologies

The native iDrive2 mobile application primarily uses application-layer technologies rather than conventional browser cookies.

These technologies may include:

Secure authentication tokens;
Encrypted session tokens;
App-instance identifiers;
Device-level security signals;
Permission status records; and
Non-advertising device identifiers where reasonably necessary. These technologies may be used for purposes including:
Authentication and secure session continuity;
Account and Platform security;
Fraud prevention;
App integrity;
Technical administration; and
Supporting user permissions and essential application functionality. These technologies are not conventional browser cookies and are governed by the iDrive2 Privacy Notice and applicable in-app permission controls.

As of the Effective Date, the native mobile application does not use advertising cookies, third-party advertising-exchange trackers, or cross-site behavioural advertising identifiers.

Further information about device identifiers, app permissions, analytics, security data and other personal data processed through the native mobile application is provided in the iDrive2 Privacy Notice.

10. Third-Party Cookies And Service Providers

Where third-party tools or infrastructure providers are used, iDrive2 may permit only those cookies or similar-technology deployments that are:

Strictly necessary for platform operation;
Lawfully consented analytics or diagnostics tools;
Technically required for secure hosting, delivery, or monitoring; or
Otherwise, lawful and proportionate under the PDPL and related policies. Where a third-party service provider processes personal data on behalf of iDrive2 through cookies or similar technologies, iDrive2 requires the provider to be subject to appropriate contractual, technical and organisational safeguards consistent with the Privacy Notice and applicable data-protection requirements.

Where such processing involves a transfer of personal data outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, the transfer will be handled in accordance with applicable requirements governing international transfers of personal data and the iDrive2 Privacy Notice.

As of the Effective Date no:

Integrate third-party advertising networks into the Platform;
Use programmatic advertising or real-time bidding cookies; or
Deploy cross-site advertising trackers.

11. Cookie Consent And User Controls

Where consent is required for the use of non-essential cookies or similar technologies, iDrive2 will obtain the user's required consent before those technologies are activated.

Consent for non-essential technologies will be requested in a manner intended to be clear, specific and freely given.

Where applicable, users will be able to:

Accept non-essential cookies;
Reject non-essential cookies;
Configure available cookie preferences by category; and
Revisit and change previously selected preferences. Refusal to consent to non-essential cookies will not prevent access to the core Platform solely because consent has been refused. iDrive2 will not use a cookie wall requiring acceptance of non-essential cookies as a condition of accessing the Platform.

Strictly necessary cookies and equivalent security technologies may operate without optional consent where they are genuinely necessary for requested functionality, authentication, security, fraud prevention, access control or core Platform operation and may lawfully be used without such consent.

Where a particular Platform environment uses only strictly necessary cookies or equivalent technologies, iDrive2 may not provide optional cookie preference controls because no non-essential technologies are being offered for acceptance or rejection.

Users may withdraw consent for non-essential technologies at any time through the available cookie-preference mechanism or other published consent-control method. Withdrawal will be designed to be reasonably accessible and will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

Users may also manage certain cookies through their browser or device settings. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent login, terminate sessions or cause essential Platform functionality to become unavailable.

iDrive2 may retain consent and preference records where reasonably necessary to demonstrate consent status, withdrawal, compliance and audit history.

12. Cookie-Derived Data And Data Protection

Where data collected through cookies or similar technologies constitutes personal data under applicable law, such data shall be processed in accordance with:

The Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Bahrain (PDPL);
The iDrive2 Privacy Notice; and
Applicable internal data-governance, security and retention controls supporting lawful data handling. Cookie-derived data is not used by iDrive2, as of the Effective Date, for:
Automated decision-making producing independent legal effects;
Unrelated behavioral profiling;
Third-party ad-network targeting;
Cross-platform advertising tracking; or
Sale or brokerage of user data.

13. Retention Of Cookies And Similar Technologies

Cookies and similar technologies are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for their lawful and stated purpose, including:

Active session validity;
Security enforcement;
Consent management;
Performance diagnostics; and
Limited, consent-based analytics where enabled. Typical retention may operate as follows:
Session cookies expire on logout, browser close, or session timeout;
Security cookies or security session markers expire in accordance with configured security rules;
Preference cookies may persist until changed, withdrawn, or expired; and
Analytics cookies, where enabled, are retained only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose and applicable configuration. Retention periods shall remain proportionate and limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant lawful purpose.

iDrive2 maintains a record of cookies and equivalent browser technologies deployed within its browser-based Platform environments, including, where applicable, their provider, purpose, category and expiry period. This information is reviewed when technologies are added, removed or materially reconfigured.

14. Cookie Use By Platform Environment

Cookie and similar-technology use may differ depending on the Platform environment being accessed.

15. Public Landing Page

The iDrive2 public landing page operates as a basic informational landing page. Where the landing page does not deploy non-essential cookies or similar technologies, no optional cookie consent is required.

If analytics, embedded content or other non-essential technologies are introduced in the future, they will be subject to the applicable consent and transparency requirements described in this Notice before deployment.

16. Advertiser Portal

The Advertiser Portal may use strictly necessary technologies for authentication, secure session management, access control, Platform security and other functionality required to operate advertiser accounts.

It may also use preference, performance or analytics technologies where implemented and lawfully enabled. Where such technologies are non-essential and require consent, they will be activated only after the required consent has been obtained.

Advertising campaign reporting provided to Advertisers may use first-party Platform records such as campaign impressions, interactions or other campaign-performance information. Such reporting does not by itself constitute third-party behavioural advertising or cross-site tracking.

17. Admin Portal And Other Restricted-Access Portal Use

The Admin Portal and any other restricted-access browser-based Platform environment use technologies necessary for authentication, secure session management, role-based access control, Platform security, fraud or misuse prevention and secure administration. Access to functions and information within such environments may vary according to the permissions assigned to the relevant authorised user account.

As of the Effective Date, iDrive2 does not use non-essential advertising-related tracking, cross-site behavioural advertising technologies or third-party advertising-network tracking within these restricted-access environments.

Any future introduction of non-essential analytics or similar technologies into these environments will be subject to applicable privacy, consent, transparency and security requirements before deployment.

18. Third-Party Links And External Services

The Platform may contain or interact with third-party services, including payment gateways, app-store environments, analytics tools, infrastructure vendors, mapping tools, communications tools, or embedded technical services.

Where a user leaves the Platform and accesses an independent third-party website or service, that third party's own privacy and cookie practices may apply and are outside iDrive2's control.

Where iDrive2 itself integrates or embeds a third-party technology within the Platform, iDrive2 will address that integration in accordance with applicable consent, transparency, data-processing, security and data-protection requirements described in this Notice and the Privacy Notice.

20. Notice Updates

iDrive2 may update this Cookie Notice from time to time to reflect changes in technologies, Platform functionality, third-party service providers, legal or regulatory requirements, or data-processing practices.

The updated Notice will identify its effective date and will be made available through the Platform or other appropriate channel.

Where an update materially changes the use of non-essential cookies or similar technologies for which consent is required, iDrive2 will obtain any new or renewed consent required by applicable law before the relevant processing is undertaken.

Continued use of the Platform does not by itself constitute consent to newly introduced non-essential cookies or similar technologies where express consent is legally required.
