Safety & Conduct Policy

1. Purpose

This Safety & Conduct Policy (“Policy”) establishes mandatory safety, behaviour, professionalism, and conduct standards applicable to all users of the iDrive2 mobile application, public landing page, Advertiser Portal, Admin Portal, other authorised browser-based Platform environments, and related Platform services (collectively, the “Platform”).

This Policy applies in different respects according to the relevant user role to:

  • Learners;
  • Instructors;
  • Advertiser users;
  • Admin users; and
  • Any other user or account holder accessing or using the Platform. The objectives of this Policy are to promote:

  • Personal safety;

  • Lawful and professional conduct;
  • Respectful communication;
  • Appropriate professional boundaries;
  • Responsible use of the Platform; and
  • Cultural sensitivity and legal compliance within the Kingdom of Bahrain. iDrive2 operates solely as a digital marketplace platform that facilitates discovery, visibility, booking coordination, and related marketplace functionality between Learners and Instructors.

iDrive2:

  • Is not a driving school;
  • Is not a provider of driving instruction services;
  • Does not supervise, direct, or control instruction sessions;
  • Does not inspect roads, routes, or real-world lesson conditions in real time;
  • Does not provide emergency response, emergency dispatch, or live safety monitoring services; and
  • Does not guarantee that any user will act safely, lawfully, professionally, or appropriately. Where this Policy establishes standards relating to real-world lesson conduct, those standards operate as conditions of access to and continued use of the Platform. They do not mean that iDrive2 supervises, directs, controls, or assumes responsibility for the conduct of a driving lesson.

Nothing in this Policy expands the role of iDrive2 beyond that of a digital marketplace platform.

This Policy operates together with the applicable Learner Terms & Conditions, Instructor Terms & Conditions, Privacy Notice, Acceptable Use Policy, Cancellation & No-Show Policy, Dispute Resolution Policy, and other applicable public-facing Platform policies or rules.

2. Core Safety Principles

Users must at all times:

  • Act lawfully, respectfully, and professionally;
  • Prioritize physical safety over convenience, speed, or commercial considerations;
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries;
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements in the Kingdom of Bahrain;
  • Avoid conduct that creates unreasonable risk, fear, harm, intimidation, or discomfort; and
  • Use the Platform in a manner that does not expose users, the Platform, or iDrive2 to safety, legal, regulatory, operational, or reputational risk. Unsafe, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate conduct is strictly prohibited.

Any violation of this Policy may constitute a material breach of the applicable Platform Terms and may result in warnings, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, permanent termination, reporting to relevant authorities where required by law, or any combination of the foregoing.

Any enforcement measure may take account of the nature, seriousness, repetition, available evidence, immediate safety risk, and other relevant circumstances.

3. Instructor Safety & Conduct Standards

Instructors must at all times:

  • Hold and maintain a valid driving Instructor licence issued by the General Directorate of Traffic (“GDT”);
  • Maintain all licences, permits, approvals, registrations, and insurance required under applicable law;
  • Use only vehicles that are roadworthy, legally compliant, properly maintained, and suitable for purpose;
  • Provide instruction professionally, respectfully, and appropriately;
  • Maintain proper professional boundaries with Learners;
  • Comply with all applicable traffic laws and regulatory requirements;
  • Ensure that any lesson is conducted in a manner that prioritizes safety;
  • Communicate with Learners only in a lawful, professional, and respectful manner.

Instructors must not:

  • Drive recklessly, dangerously, or unlawfully;
  • Instruct while impaired, fatigued to an unsafe extent, or otherwise unfit;
  • Use a mobile device while instructing except as legally permitted;
  • Permit or require unlawful conduct during instruction;
  • Accept or continue a lesson where the Learner appears intoxicated, impaired, unable to participate safely, or otherwise unsafe to proceed;
  • Harass, intimidate, threaten, coerce, discriminate against, or abuse any Learner or other user;
  • Initiate romantic, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate personal solicitation toward Learners;
  • Make sexually suggestive, discriminatory, humiliating, or otherwise inappropriate comments;
  • Engage in unnecessary physical contact; or
  • Misrepresent qualifications, safety status, vehicle condition, or legal compliance.

For clarity:

  • Instructors are responsible for their own lesson delivery, conduct, vehicle condition, compliance, and insurance obligations;
  • iDrive2 does not certify instructional competence;
  • Verification conducted by iDrive2 is administrative in nature only; and
  • iDrive2 may review insurance or other compliance documentation submitted through the Platform where applicable but does not continuously monitor or guarantee the ongoing validity, adequacy, or legal sufficiency of an Instructor’s insurance coverage.

4. Learner Safety & Conduct Standards

Learners must at all times:

  • Hold and carry a valid Learner driving licence issued by GDT where required for participation in lessons;
  • Attend sessions punctually unless prevented by lawful or documented reasons;
  • Follow lawful and reasonable Instructor guidance during lessons;
  • Comply with applicable traffic laws and legal requirements;
  • Behave respectfully and professionally toward Instructors and other users; and
  • Refrain from conduct that creates safety risk, intimidation, or disruption.

Learners must not:

  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse Instructors or other users;
  • Attend or attempt to participate in a lesson while intoxicated, impaired, or otherwise unfit;
  • Pressure an Instructor to violate traffic laws or act unsafely;
  • Engage in reckless, aggressive, or intentionally unsafe driving behavior;
  • Bring weapons, illegal substances, or other prohibited items into a lesson environment where doing so creates safety risk or legal breach;
  • Record audio, video, or images during sessions without any consent or legal basis required under applicable law;
  • Use the Platform or lesson setting in a manner that exposes Instructors, users, or iDrive2 to material safety, legal, regulatory, or security risk. Where a Learner becomes unable to continue a lesson safely, the lesson should not continue merely because a booking has been confirmed or because a private lesson fee arrangement exists between the Learner and Instructor.

5. Harassment & Serious Misconduct (Zero Tolerance)

The following are strictly prohibited for all users:

  • Sexual harassment;
  • Verbal abuse;
  • Discriminatory language or conduct;
  • Stalking or persistent unwanted contact;
  • Threats, coercion, intimidation, or blackmail;
  • Extortion;
  • Physical intimidation or assault;
  • Privacy violations, including unlawful recording or disclosure of personal information;
  • Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading conduct;
  • Retaliation against a user for making a good-faith report; and
  • Other serious conduct creating a material safety, legal, regulatory, privacy, or user-protection risk. Serious allegations or serious apparent misconduct may result in immediate interim action, including temporary suspension, restriction of bookings, reduction or removal of profile visibility, temporary account lock, or other proportionate restrictions reasonably necessary to protect users while the matter is reviewed.

Interim action is precautionary and does not by itself constitute a final determination that misconduct occurred.

6. In-Vehicle Safety Requirements

During any lesson arranged through the Platform:

  • Seat belts must be worn where legally required;
  • Learner must hold the Learner driving licence and any other legally required documentation;
  • Instructor must remain legally qualified and capable of exercising supervisory control as required by law;
  • The vehicle used must satisfy applicable legal and regulatory requirements; and
  • The lesson must not proceed where conditions create an unreasonable safety risk. Nothing in the booking status, Platform workflow, or any private payment arrangement between the Learner and Instructor requires a lesson to proceed where doing so would be unsafe or unlawful.

iDrive2 does not physically inspect vehicles, does not supervise instruction sessions, and does not verify real-time road conditions, driver behavior, or in-vehicle compliance. Any document review or verification performed by iDrive2 is administrative only and does not constitute certification, warranty, or assumption of responsibility for vehicle safety or legal compliance.

7. Emergency Protocol

In the event of an accident, medical issue, threat, assault, or any immediate safety emergency:

  • Users must prioritize immediate physical safety;
  • Emergency services or other appropriate authorities should be contacted immediately where required;
  • Urgent assistance should be sought from the appropriate emergency, medical, police, or traffic authority;
  • The incident should be reported to iDrive2 through the designated Platform reporting or support channels as soon as reasonably practicable after the immediate safety risk has been addressed. iDrive2 is not an emergency response service and does not provide real-time emergency monitoring, dispatch, rescue, or on-road intervention services.

A report submitted through the Platform is an administrative notice only and does not guarantee live response, real-time intervention, or any particular enforcement outcome.

Users should not delay contacting emergency services or other competent authorities in order to report an incident to iDrive2 first.

8. Accidents, Incidents & Liability Allocation

Driving instruction involves inherent risks, including the risk of accident, injury, property damage, traffic violations, or third-party claims.

Where a traffic accident or lesson-related incident occurs:

  • Liability shall be determined under applicable law;
  • Insurance issues shall be determined in accordance with the applicable vehicle policy, insurer terms, and legal requirements;
  • iDrive2 does not supervise lessons or monitor real-time driving behavior;
  • iDrive2 is not a party to the instruction arrangement between Learner and Instructor; and
  • Claims arising from the incident may need to be addressed through the responsible persons, insurers, police, courts, regulators, or other competent parties or authorities, as applicable. Any Platform report, administrative review, account restriction, booking classification, or safety enforcement action by iDrive2 is for Platform administration purposes and does not determine civil liability, criminal responsibility, insurance liability, or legal fault arising from the real-world incident.

The allocation and limitation of liability between iDrive2 and users is governed by the applicable Learner Terms & Conditions, Instructor Terms & Conditions, and applicable law.

Nothing in this Policy expands iDrive2’s role into supervision of lesson delivery, vehicle operation, traffic compliance, or real-world driving activity.

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

9. Reporting Safety Concerns Or Misconduct

Users may report safety concerns, harassment, misconduct, inappropriate behavior, suspected fraud, or related incidents through designated channels made available by iDrive2, which may include:

  • In-app reporting functionality;
  • Designated support or admin channels;
  • Official email or support contact details published by iDrive2; or
  • Other official reporting methods expressly identified on the Platform. Reports should, where reasonably possible:

  • Be made in good faith;

  • Be fact-based and not knowingly false or misleading; and
  • Include sufficient detail to support administrative review. Users may submit available supporting materials, which may include screenshots, communication records, booking references, or other relevant materials.

Submission of a report:

  • Does not by itself establish the truth of the allegation;
  • Does not by itself establish fault or a breach of this Policy;
  • Does not guarantee a particular enforcement outcome; and
  • Does not replace reporting to police, GDT, insurers, or other competent authorities where external reporting is appropriate. False, malicious, abusive, retaliatory, or bad-faith reporting may itself constitute a breach of this Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy and may result in enforcement action.

A person making a good-faith report will not be treated as having breached this Policy merely because an allegation cannot ultimately be substantiated.

10. Investigation & Administrative Review

Upon receiving a safety report or becoming aware of conduct that may breach this Policy, iDrive2 may, to the extent reasonably necessary and proportionate:

  • Review booking records, timestamps, and authenticated system logs;
  • Review relevant Platform communications where access is reasonably necessary for the relevant investigation and permitted under applicable access controls;
  • Review account history, ratings history, and prior reports;
  • Request clarification or supporting information from one or more parties;
  • Preserve relevant records for safety, compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, evidentiary, or legal purposes; and
  • Apply interim restrictions while review is ongoing. Interim measures may include:

  • Temporary booking restrictions;

  • Reduced profile visibility;

11. Temporary Restriction Or Suspension Of Advertising Or Promotional Activity, Where Relevant;

  • Temporary messaging restriction;
  • Temporary suspension; or
  • Other proportionate access controls reasonably necessary to protect users, the Platform, or compliance interests. All investigations conducted by iDrive2 are administrative and platform-based only.

Such investigations:

  • Are not criminal, judicial, regulatory, or insurance determinations;
  • Do not replace police, court, insurer, GDT, or regulatory processes;
  • May rely primarily on available platform records and submitted information; and
  • May result in internal enforcement decisions for Platform purposes only. Authenticated Platform records, logs, timestamps, communications and other system-generated evidence may be considered alongside user-submitted materials and other relevant information. No individual record or system indicator is necessarily conclusive where credible contrary evidence exists.

12. Privacy During Investigations

Personal data processed in connection with safety reporting, investigation, moderation, enforcement, fraud prevention, or cooperation with authorities shall be handled in accordance with:

  • The Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Bahrain; and
  • The iDrive2 Privacy Notice. Access to restricted or higher-risk personal data, Platform communications, identity information, or other restricted information used in safety investigations shall be limited to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis and may be subject to:

  • Role-based access controls;

  • Justification logging;
  • Audit trail generation; and
  • Applicable retention, legal-hold, and access-control requirements. Access to restricted information should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant safety, support, fraud, dispute, moderation, or enforcement review.

Nothing in this Policy modifies or expands data protection rights or obligations beyond those set out in the Privacy Notice and applicable law.

13. Cooperation With Authorities

Where required or permitted by law, court order, regulatory process, or other applicable legal basis, and where reasonably necessary and proportionate in the circumstances, iDrive2 may cooperate with law enforcement, courts, regulators, insurers, or other competent authorities.

Such cooperation may include disclosure of relevant records, including where lawful and proportionate:

  • Booking logs;
  • Account records;
  • Communication records within the Platform;
  • Audit logs;
  • Complaint records; and
  • Related documentation. Any disclosure will be limited to information reasonably relevant to the lawful request, obligation, investigation, or purpose for which disclosure is permitted.

14. Enforcement Consequences

Where iDrive2 determines that a user has breached this Policy, attempted to breach this Policy, or created legal, regulatory, safety, security, operational, reputational, or commercial risk, iDrive2 may apply one or more proportionate measures, including:

  • Warning notice;
  • Feature restriction;
  • Booking restriction;
  • Messaging restriction;
  • Ranking or visibility reduction;
  • Removal or restriction of Sponsored Listings, Advertising Campaigns, or other promotional visibility, where relevant;
  • Content removal;
  • Temporary suspension; or
  • Permanent termination. Enforcement action may be taken on an interim or final basis, having regard to severity, repetition, credibility of evidence, documented safety or risk indicators, available Platform records, immediate or continuing user-safety concerns, and Platform integrity.

Where appropriate, final enforcement decisions may also take account of clarification, evidence, or representations provided by the affected user.

Nothing in this section limits any other rights of iDrive2 under the applicable Terms, incorporated policies, or applicable law.

15. Platform Role And Safety Boundary

iDrive2 establishes Platform safety and conduct standards as conditions of access to and continued use of its digital marketplace. The existence, monitoring, moderation, or enforcement of those standards does not mean that iDrive2 supervises, controls, directs, or assumes responsibility for real-world driving instruction or lesson activity.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law iDrive2:

  • Does not supervise or control instruction sessions;
  • Does not guarantee personal safety;
  • Does not guarantee that users will comply with this Policy or applicable law;
  • Does not monitor real-time user behavior or vehicle operation; and
  • Is not liable for the conduct, acts, omissions, or unlawful behavior of users. Any verification, safety review, moderation action, report handling, account restriction, or enforcement measure undertaken by iDrive2 is administrative and Platform-based and does not constitute real-time supervision, certification, or control of lesson delivery.

The allocation and limitation of liability between iDrive2 and users is governed by the applicable Learner Terms & Conditions, Instructor Terms & Conditions, and applicable law.

This Policy establishes conduct standards for Platform use only. It does not create a warranty of user conduct, a guarantee of safety outcomes, or an assumption by iDrive2 of responsibility for lesson delivery, real-world supervision, vehicle operation, or third-party behaviour.

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

16. Contact

Questions or non-emergency reports relating to this Policy, safety concerns, misconduct, or Platform conduct may be directed through the reporting methods made available by iDrive2, including:

Email: info@iDrive2app.com

Landing Page: www.iDrive2app.com

Where an incident involves an immediate threat to personal safety, accident, medical emergency, suspected criminal conduct, or other urgent situation, users should contact the appropriate emergency service or competent authority rather than relying on iDrive2 as an emergency-response channel.

Submission of a report to iDrive2 does not constitute emergency notification and does not replace any report that should appropriately be made to police, GDT, insurers, courts, medical services, or other competent authorities.

Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

17. Policy Updates

iDrive2 may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform, business operations, service features, safety controls, reporting procedures, conduct requirements, legal or regulatory requirements, or operational practices.

Where required by applicable law or where iDrive2 considers the update to be material, iDrive2 will provide reasonable prior notice through one or more appropriate channels, which may include in-app notification, publication on the public landing page, account notice, or email communication, where applicable.

Updated versions of this Policy shall become effective on the effective date stated in the revised version, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Any update shall apply prospectively only and shall not retroactively affect rights, obligations, completed transactions, or concluded matters prior to the effective date, unless required by applicable law.

Where a material update introduces or materially changes user conduct obligations, prohibited behaviour, safety requirements, or enforcement consequences, iDrive2 may require affected users to acknowledge the updated Policy or accept revised applicable Terms before continued access to relevant Platform functionality.

Continued access to or use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy to the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to any separate acknowledgement or re-acceptance requirement applicable to the affected user.

If a user does not agree to an updated Policy, the user must discontinue use of the affected Platform services or functionality before the update takes effect.
